(Main Stage) - Real Life Radio Stage
In Disciple’s 14 years together, this Knoxville, Tennessee band has matured from an aggressive metal band to a quartet with a strong sense of melody and penchant for the unexpected. The band’s last album Rise Up was full of driving rhythms and tuneful hooks, but with their new album Scars Remain Disciple have incorporated exceptional songwriting with a level of intensity they haven’t displayed in years
“Blink182
meets Black Eyed Peas fronted by a Chick.” That is how this
six-piece band from Chicago would describe the music that
motivates so many people across the world. They embarked on
their headlining tour “Cross the Line” in February and
excited to play the Main stage at Real Fest 2008.
The
youthful and petite brunette speaks to her generation in a
language they understand seamlessly transitioning from
drinking chai tea and texting friends to the deep desire to
inspire her peers to be consumed with a passion for God and
to know Him deeply. With her smash hit “You” blowing up
everyone’s radios, her performance at Real Fest is sure to
be amazing!
Every
KJ record has sold more than the previous one. He was voted
favorite hip-hop artist in the last two CCM reader’s polls.
He has taken on VH1, Eminen, and foreign nations. Yet, he
still remains resolute in his motivation. Perhaps this is
why there is only one Five-Tweezy. You want further
evidence? Check him out at his second Real Fest Performance!
Moving
from behind the drum kit to the front of the stage would be
a scary move for even the most versatile musician, but it’s
a formula that seems to be paying off for many drummers in
the music industry. Undoubtedly one of the most successful
transfers is Dave Grohl, former Nirvana drummer who now
leads the Foo Fighters, a band that is still going strong
twelve years after they formed. Looking specifically at the
CCM industry, it worked for Peter Furler and the Newsboys
after the departure of lead singer John James. Aaron
Gillespie from Underoath took advantage of some down time
and formed The Almost, and now Brandon Estelle from
Superchick has made the role-change to bring us the up and
coming Inland Record’s band Starlit Platoon. Their show at
Real Fest should be a great Kick-off for the main stage
